My name is Max, I help run the workshops and the, er, "club" I hesitate to use the word club as we are a bit different to most camera clubs you will find. There are plenty of other photography clubs that enjoy the sometimes pointless competition of one clubs photos being judged against another clubs photos, if that sounds appealing to you, we are probably not what you are looking for. We are about sharing the techniques and practices that will get you to take better photos, NOT something that happens easily if you are in a competitive environment! but you may already have gathered that from elsewhere on this web site! The club has a strong contingent of digital and film using members, of all ages, of all interests and all types of camera and is enjoying rapid growth from non- photographers who want to know more about how to take better photos. New members will be made to feel most welcome, whatever the type of camera or format you use and whatever aspirations you have. Forget the traditional view of camera clubs with darkroom ownership and the latest camera technology being a pre-requisite for membership, everyone is welcome and you can come and see how easy it is to take better pictures with the camera you already use!
The camera you use doesn’t actually matter very much in getting great images!
