Taking great pictures is not as difficult as you might think.  It’s certainly NOT the black art some experts and most camera equipment manufacturers would have you believe.  Everyone who has ever picked up a camera has got to a point where they know enough to know, they don't know enough!  How they get past that point depends on the individual,  their circumstances and to some degree the technology and facilities available to them.

As with most things, a little knowledge about how to use your camera can make a huge difference to the result of pressing the button and the results you will see.

Regardless of what you photograph, landscapes, family portraits, or just for your own pleasure, these workshops will quickly improve the quality of your images.  With presentations, demonstrations and plenty of opportunity to practice, practical help will be readily available, there will also be assignments to go out and try, whatever your level of expertise.  There are members who have just got their first digital camera some who are full time professional photographers and just about every level in between.

“I didn’t know I could be this good at taking photos”

The workshops are designed for everyone who wants to know more about how their camera works and DOES NOT have the time, inclination or desire to wade through the manual to find how to get at the good stuff that will make the difference between a ‘snap’ and “a stunning work of art!” While you will find all the information about the technical operation of the camera, a lot of the elements covered in the workshop will not be found in any manual but they come from many diverse sources so whatever level you are at, from being about to get your first digital camera to a being a professional photographer who wants to learn how using calibrated equipment can prevent customers complaining about the colour balance of their wedding photos, there will be something for you.
